The contrasts and compliments are clearly shown in Lady Patra North's (AKA Donny West), life reflective and introspective book of original poetry and photos. From opening verse thanking friends and family for support Lady Patra reveals a positive life grabbing spirit which flows in words as well as

photos. Patra subject matter mostly deals with the deep appreciation for life and what it has brought. Together with strong and deep sentiment on values of friendship and self acceptance the book is brief and powerful. Lady Patra makes a stance with clarity and swift delivery.

The photos are very much a part of the art. Each shot seems to be compelled to the accompanying words. Patra uses these images to give added spirit to the poems and thoughts collected. Not the thoughts of a female impersonator as much as a person finding understanding, social and most importantly self acceptance, and love. Although Patra's career is strong within the words for that is also a part of what makes up Lady Patra North and indeed the alter Donny West.
